Listed below are four simple educational tools that can be made to create artworks and crafts that could keep children busy for a number of hours.
These recipes are easy to slap together with ingredients that one already has in the kitchen.

Salt dough
Ingredients – 1 cup salt, 1 cup flour and half a cup water.
Puffy paint
Ingredients – 3 tablespoons flour, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, 2 tablespoons water, 1 tablespoon salt and food colouring.

Homemade finger paint
Ingredients – half a cup of cornstarch or 1 cup of flour, 4 tablespoons of sugar, 2 cups of cold water, a pinch of salt and food colouring.

Homemade clay
1 cup of flour, quarter cup of salt, 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, food colouring and scent (essential oils helps with nice smells), Store in container to not dry out.
