Quick response prevents eShowe fire from spreading

THE uMlalazi Muncipality’s protection services personnel were quick on the scene to extinguish a fire at a hair salon in the eShowe central business district on Tuesday afternoon.

The blaze was reported at around 2pm and the fire was doused within half an hour.

Fortunately the fire did not spread to neighbouring buildings, which included a petrol station.

Although a neighbouring chicken outlet was filled with smoke, there appears to be no further damage.

The incident will be investigated by the authorities.
