Drug abuse campaign at schools
Richards Bay SAPS members were joined by drug activist and recovering substance abuser, Natalie Mason, who shared her journey of overcoming drug addiction and turning her life around
TACKLING the scourge of drugs with proactive activities, Richards Bay SAPS drug awareness campaigns are targeting primary and high schools in the city and surrounding communities.
Officers visit schools to share information on the different types of drugs, their effects and the long-term ripple effects in society, as well as engaging in dialogues to educate youngsters to report illegal activities, including abusing prescription medications which have become a major challenge in schools.
