Search for Ntambanana 18-year-old missing schoolgirl

Olwethu Ntimbane was last seen by her mother, Zandile Ntshangase (40), on Monday, 17 February, going to school, but she never returned home

NTAMBANANA police have appealed to anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of missing schoolgirl Olwethu Ntimbane (18), of Ntuzuma Reserve in Ntambanana, to come forward.

Ntimbane was last seen by her mother, Zandile Ntshangase (40), on Monday, 17 February, going to school, but she never returned home.

She is doing Grade 11 at Mgezeni High School.

‘When I went to school to look for her, I was told that she did not attend school on that day. I have reported her disappearance to the police and local crime fighting group, Isikebhet. So far there have been no leads.’

King Cetshwayo cluster police spokesperson, Captain Mbongeni Mdlalose, confirmed a missing person’s case was registered at the Ntambanana SAPS for investigation.

‘We urge anyone with information to contact the investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Nonhlanhla Hlophe, on 064 8963301,’ said Mdlalose.
