Setting new times

There was fierce competition between swimmers and rival clubs.

SWIMMERS came out firing at the blocks at the Arboretum swimming pool in Richards Bay on Saturday during the Northern KwaZulu-Natal (NKZN) Age Group gala.

Qualifying for the upcoming Level 1, 2 and 3 galas, there was fierce competition between individual swimmers and rival clubs.

uShaka Swimming Club hosted the gala with Fish Eagles Swimming Club, Vryheid Swimming Club and Highway Swimming Club competing at the event.

At the end of the day it came down to swimmer versus time, which left spectators on the edge of their seats and coaches happy with their teams’ performances.

The next NKZN Age Group gala will take place on 1 February at the Arboretum swimming pool, with the action kicking off at 9am.

The Fish Eagles Swimming Club will hold their Level 0 and Guppy fun gala on 8 February at the Meerensee swimming pool starting at 9am.

Swimmers aged two and above are welcome.
