Ladysmith Black Mambazo founder Joseph Shabalala dies

SOUTH Africans are mourning the passing of music legend and Ladysmith Black Mambazo founder, Joseph Shabalala.

Shabalala passed away this morning in a Pretoria hospital following a long illness.

The sad news was confirmed to the Zululand Observer by the group’s Marketing Manager, Xolani Majozi, this morning shortly after Shabalala’s passing.

‘We are saddened by the news. The group is currently overseas but has been notified. We will provide full details after we have spoken to the family,’ he said.
