Heavy rain, thunderstorms batter Zululand
The wet weather is set to continue through the weekend
WHILE fierce storms brought some relief after recent hot and humid weather, many Zululanders are undoubtedly counting the cost of the downpours and lightning strikes.
Thursday night’s storm led to numerous power outages both during the night and on Friday, leaving some residents in the dark for prolonged periods.
Many from around the City of uMhlathuze and beyond experienced power surges, prolonged outages outside of load shedding, and some flooding.
There were also some serious accidents on the wet roads.
The wet, stormy weather is set to continue through the weekend.
