Load-shedding throughout today and tomorrow

LOAD-SHEDDING has been extending from this morning (Thursday) until tomorrow afternoon (Friday).

In a statement issued this morning, Eskom said their system remained severely constrained and unpredictable.

‘We have lost additional generation capacity overnight through breakdowns, shedding more than 14 000MV. Our emergency reserves are also insufficient to meet the demand for electricity during the day. As a result, we have to load-shed throughout the day until tomorrow,’ Eskom said.
