Mobility boost for Unizulu choir

The handover comes after Mabuza encountered the choir at the tuberculosis conference held at the Durban International Convention Centre in June last year

DEPUTY President David Mabuza recently handed over a bus to the University of Zululand (Unizulu) choir to ease their travelling as HIV/Aids and TB ambassadors.

The handover comes after Mabuza encountered the choir at the tuberculosis conference held at the Durban International Convention Centre in June last year.

The choir rendered a musical item which spoke directly to the gist of the conference.

They conveyed a compelling message that those infected by TB should not shy away from taking medication as it is a curable disease.

Impressed by the choristers, Mabuza pledged to sponsor them with uniforms and a bus so that it would be easier for them to reach outlying areas to create awareness of the epidemics through music.

Chairperson of the University of Zululand Choral Society, Linduxolo Mabuyakhulu, expressed his gratitude for the gesture.
