Tree of Lights honours lost loved ones
Taking place at Zululand Observer premises in Empangeni on Tuesday, 26 November at 5.30pm, locals can bring along a picnic blanket and camping chairs, gather around the tree and light up the evening with candles bought in remembrance and honour of departed family and friends
THE annual Zululand Hospice Tree of Light is a symbolic ceremony which allows members of our community to gather in remembrance of loved ones they have lost.
Taking place at Zululand Observer premises in Empangeni on Tuesday, 26 November at 5.30pm, locals can bring along a picnic blanket and camping chairs, gather around the tree and light up the evening with candles bought in remembrance and honour of departed family and friends.
Soft drinks and light meals will be on sale.
The service will be inter-denominational, and community members across all faiths are invited to attend.
Entrance in free and dedications in remembrance of loved ones lost are on sale at R60 and include a brown bag with a candle holder and candle, a remembrance key ring and a mini pot plant.
All proceeds will be used to provide comfort, care, compassion and counselling to the patients of Zululand Hospice and their families.
