Friday scorcher in Zululand

Minimise time spent outdoors

AN early summer scorcher is on the way today (Friday) and Zululanders are urged to take precautions if working outdoors.

With the mercury set to hit the upper 30s across much of the region and even the low 40s in places, it’s going to be a hot one.

Hats and sunscreen are a must and it is advisable to stay indoors during the hottest part of the day.

Those planning a beach day should take extra care in applying and reapplying sunscreen, and be sure not to spend too much time suntanning.

Also remember to swim only within the lifeguard’s designated area.

While the weekend weather is a bit more varied across the region, it is still forecast to be hot in places, with the mid-to upper-thirties expected for parts of the coast.
