EIGHT hours after a man was found fatally stabbed in Sokhulu, a suspect handed himself to police on Wednesday evening in connection with the murder.
According to the KwaMbonambi SAPS, a dispute erupted between the two men, who were reportedly friends, in an open field in the Sokhulu village situated outside KwaMbonambi at about 11am on Wednesday.
They fought and fell on the ground when the victim, 35-year-old Jumbo Mfaniseni Mthiyane, was stabbed in his left armpit and died on the scene.
Tholo Kuhle Dunge (29) handed himself over at 7pm and appeared in the KwaMbonambi Magistrates Court on charges of murder the next day.
He will return to court on Thursday for a bail application.
