Computer dreams for Mnotho
Tisand Techical School matriculant with five distinctions needs financial assistance
FOR the 17-year-old Esikhaleni matriculant Mnotho Gumede only the sky could be the limit, but his life-long dream of studying Computer Engineering will remain just that unless some good Samaritan comes to the rescue of this needy computer boffin.
Mnotho is one of the country’s 2013 top matric achievers, attaining a whopping five (5) distinctions from Tisand Technical High School, Esikhaleni.
His financially-strapped father, M Gumede appeals to anyone who can help his gifted son realise his dream of studying Computer Engineering at the University of Cape Town, where he applied to further his studies.
‘I’ve always been fascinated with computers ever since I was a little boy, so now I want to pursue that fascination of mine by becoming a computer engineer,’ said Mnotho.
