Fan park for Rugby World Cup at Dube Station in Mtunzini

The park, launched by non-profit organisation Siyadlala (We are playing) in partnership with various stakeholders hopes to bring together more than 2 000 rugby enthusiasts in support of the Springboks

ZULULANDERS can experience the thrills of the 2019 Rugby World Cup at the recently launched fan park at Dube Station in Mtunzini.

The park, launched by non-profit organisation Siyadlala (We are playing) in partnership with various stakeholders hopes to bring together more than 2 000 rugby enthusiasts in support of the Springboks.

‘We promise a great experience to our attendees from music, picnic on site, food and meeting new people whilst enjoying the rugby,’ the organisation said.

The Springboks vs All Blacks game on Saturday will also be screened at the Dolosfees Festival in Richards Bay.

‘All Dolosfees attendees must keep their tickets to claim discount for the Zini fan park entry on 28 September.

‘We will also accommodate the South Africa’s PSL matches especially the Kaizer Chiefs vs Baroka FC on 28 September.’

The fan park will include performances by various artists and a performance by possibly the youngest DJ in the world, DJ Arch Junior.

Entry fee is R200 per person at the gate with free entry for children under 12 years.

‘We encourage people to come as families to enjoy and celebrate sports combined with the celebration of Heritage Month.’

Siyadlala is unearthing sporting talent in rural areas in the King Cetshwayo District and the province as a whole.

‘We seek to promote, support and celebrate the use of sport to address social issues through convening, supporting and advising the worlds of sport, business, government and development on how sport can be used as a tool to achieve both social and business objectives,’ the organisation said.
