FEMALE students were empowered during the Women’s Month celebration event at uMfolozi TVET College in eSikhaleni on Thursday afternoon.
The day started with a motivational session by Xolani Mpungose, followed by various female speakers who gave students insight to finance and business.
Business and financial strategist Nompumelelo Ndlela provided information on starting businesses while businesswoman and philanthropist Hlengiwe Ntanzi advised them to be financial savvy.
Icora FM Chairperson Qaphile Putsoane also backed the initiative with words of support.
The edutainment event was headed by MFF Tours in a joint venture with the college’s student support.
It also included a sanitary pads handover by Mnguni Family Foundation.
