Mental maths magicians
Matthew and Wijtske will next compete at provincial level on 15 August
RICHARDS Bay Primary School (RBPS) learners did the school proud at a recent mental maths competition.
Matthew Ellis (Grade 4), Wijtske Fourie (Grade 5) and Ria Kalapdeo (Grade 6) participated in the competition which was hosted by the Department of Education.
The RBPS standard of excellence was upheld as all three students went through to the district leg of the competition, which took place on 30 July.
Ria was placed second in the circuit competition, with Matthew and Wijtske emerging as the winners in their respective grades in the district competition.
Matthew and Wijtske will next compete at provincial level on 15 August.
