Fatal head-on crash outside Empangeni

A HEAD-On crash between a single cab with a canopy and a light motor vehicle on the R34 west of Empangeni, has resulted in at least two deaths and has caused a traffic snarl in bother directions.

Ambulance crews, traffic officials, police and rescue personnel are on the scene in large numbers to attend to the carnage.

A number of school children in the single cab have been rushed to hospital while others are being attended on scene.
