THE Porsche 911 has done it again.
In a recent poll of the world’s 50 greatest cars, the Porsche 911 took top spot, but strangely enough British vehicles have taken a third of the top places.
The Porsche and BMW’s powerful M3 pipped the UK’s McLaren F1 super-car into third place.
The McLaren is one of four British cars in the top ten with Land Rover’s Range Rover in fifth place, the original Mini in sixth, and the Jaguar E-Type in seventh.
The survey was carried out by British CAR magazine and the results show that British cars account for 30 percent of the CAR50 list with 15 cars in the top 50. Italy is ranked second with ten whilst Germany took third with seven entrants.
However, the iconic Porsche 911 which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2013, has been given the title and has been voted the outright winner. Below are the top ten cars from the 50 Greatest Cars List.
