Man arrested by KwaMbonambi SAPS for unlicensed shotgun

Investigations led the police to Ntuthunga Reserve and the homestead of a 44-year-old man

WHILE following leads in an attempted murder investigation, KwaMbonambi SAPS last Wednesday arrested a man for possession of an unlicensed firearm.

Investigations led the police to Ntuthunga Reserve and the homestead of a 44-year-old man.

A search of the man’s home was conducted and police seized a shotgun with a filed off serial number.

On being questioned about the firearm, the man said it belonged to his uncle.

He could not produce a licence for the firearm and was arrested.

The weapon will be sent for ballistic tests to determine if it had been used in any crimes.
