Ulundi couple robbed at gunpoint

They demanded cash and ordered their victims to lie down and tied them up with ropes

ULUNDI police are investigating a case of house robbery after a couple was robbed of their hard-earned cash and their firearm last week.

Zululand Cluster Police spokesperson, Captain Nkosie Gwala, said the victims were asleep in their home situated in North King Bhekuzulu Street, when three armed suspects forced open their bedroom door after gaining entry to the house through a kitchen window.

They demanded cash and ordered their victims to lie down and tied them up with ropes.

After taking money from a handbag, the suspects demanded the keys to the safe, from where they took more cash and a 9mm pistol.
