PUBLIC servants working in all three tiers of government should at all times ensure service delivery to all community members regardless of their political affiliations.

This was the message of KZN MEC for Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation, Bongiwe Sithole-Moloi.
She was speaking at the official handover of a new sport complex at Cingci Reserve, in ward 11 of the uMfolozi Municipality.

‘People have high hopes that we will attend to their service delivery concerns. We dare not fail them.We must also do away with a culture of laziness when executing our duties. There are many individuals out there who are equally capable of serving the nation,’ she said.

The sport complex comprises a fenced football field with change rooms and ablution facilities, and basketball, tennis, volleyball and netball courts, as well as an outdoor gym.

Sithole-Moloi also visited other areas in the uMfolozi Municipality, handing over combo courts at New Patane Primary School in Ward 11 and Nhlabosini Primary School in Ward 10.

She also handed over a mobile clinic with consultation rooms, toilets and air conditioners and sport kits to local teams, and 10 wheelchairs to the Disability Forum.

The event was attended by King Cetshwayo District Mayor Nonhle Mkhulisi and her deputy Cllr Alice Mthembu.
