How to pack your new baby’s hospital bag, the right way!
It's easy to get overwhelmed when you're trying to decide what to pack for a newborn's arrival - here are some practical tips from a new father

NOTHING can compare to that first experience of becoming a new parent.
Nothing can really prepare one for that special moment when you hold your newborn in your hands and the overwhelming flood of emotions that follows.
It’s no secret that new parents don’t always have everything figured out by the time their baby arrives.
One moment you could be typing an article in the newsroom and the next minute you receive a call that your wife is in labour – without a clue what to do next.
It is a time of confusion, illustrated by me bumping into everyone at the mall while rushing to buy things for the baby’s bag.
Later I learned I could have prevented all that chaos if I have had my new baby’s hospital bag ready in time.
It’s no secret dads tend to take the cake when it comes to funny (and sometimes, not so funny) newborn mistakes.
In the countdown to your baby’s birth, make sure you have these essentials ready and packed in time, to ensure that when the time comes you are ready.
Some practical tips on what to pack from a new father:
What should I pack for my baby?
* Two or three sleep suits and vests
* Baby blanket. Your baby may need a blanket if it’s chilly outside when you leave
* Nappies. Your newborn will go through as many as 12 in a day
* Muslin squares for mopping up milk your baby brings up
* One pair of socks or booties
* A cotton hat
* One outfit for the trip home (all-in-one stretchy outfits are easiest)
* Baby car seat. Some hospitals won’t let you leave by car without one
* Jacket or snowsuit for winter babies (remove before placing your baby in a car seat).
* Baby face cloths (x 2)
* Disposable baby wipes
* Vaseline, baby powder and bum cream
* Formula, bottles, teats and sterilising equipment if you plan to bottle feed.
