Doctor’s report claims eShowe boys killed by venomous snake poison
The two boys, Lungelo Mngadi (7) and Simo Mswane (8), both died after they were reportedly bitten by a snake while herding cattle home from the grazing fields
FOLLOWING confusion about the cause of death of two boys of the oHabeni area outside eShowe last Sunday, a doctor’s report has revealed they were bitten by a cobra.
The two boys, Lungelo Mngadi (7) and Simo Mswane (8), both died after they were reportedly bitten by a snake while herding cattle home from the grazing fields.
King Cetshwayo Police Cluster spokesperson, Captain Mbongeni Mdlalose, said the doctor’s report confirmed the two died from snake bites.
‘Lungelo was declared dead at home on Sunday night, and Simo died in hospital on Monday,’ Mdlalose said.
The traumatised mother of the two deceased, Zanele Mswane, said she is still not convinced that her two boys were killed by snake poison.
‘I can confirm that the doctor told us that my boys died from snake bites, but I don’t agree with him because my boys had not swollen up,’ said Mswane.
