Velenkosini Myeni (32) to spend the rest of his life behind bars for raping a 3-year-old
Myeni's name will also be listed on the national register of sex offenders
RAPIST Velenkosini Myeni (32) of Ntoyeni Reserve in Mbonambi will spend the rest of his life in jail after he was convicted of rape and sentenced to life imprisonment in the Empangeni Regional Court last Wednesday.
Myeni’s name will also be listed on the national register of sex offenders.

The court heard that on the 28 December 2015, a three-year-old girl was playing outside her homestead with other children when Myeni called her.
A 15-year-old boy walking in the veld heard the child screaming in the bushes, and when he went to investigate, he discovered Myeni busy raping the child and he called the elders for help.
Community members hurried to the scene and apprehended Myeni, and handed him over to the police.
