Decent ablution facility for St Lucia taxi rank

Ensuring dignity for commuters the motivation behind councillor's persistence

AFTER years of fighting for a public toilet at the taxi rank at the entrance to St Lucia, a local PR councillor has succeeded and the toilets are now complete.

‘The battle of getting this essential facility in place for commuters has been tough, but I have not backed off since a large number of people work in St Lucia and surrounding areas,’ said Annacletah Mabika.

‘The public toilets will give people dignity and improve the cleanliness in town.

‘We will continue to drive issues affecting the people, and service delivery is one of the main issues.

Mabika said her next mission is to improve refuse removal services in KwaMsane, and to get the Mtubatuba Municipality to plant more trees.
