HarnessPro adds new technology to its production line
New MK Harness Test System will ensure superior quality products and improve production efficiency

Specialist automotive harness manufacturer, HarnessPro, launched the MK Harness Test System on Thursday 21 February during a formal gathering at their factory in Alton, Richards Bay.
The MK Harness Test System was introduced to current and prospective customers, and guests were clearly very impressed.
The MK Test System is primarily designed to detect defective material and manufacturing errors on the production line after all other manual and automated interim inspections have been passed.
It identifies crimp errors, poor solder joints, incorrect AWG (wire gauge) used, open circuits, short circuits, misswire and inversions, incorrect shielding and incorrect material defects.
Commitment to quality
Branch Manager Frank Kristiansen explained that HarnessPro’s investment in the MK Test System is part of its commitment to quality.
“With quality being the cornerstone of our entire operation and continuous improvement our company ethos, the introduction of the MK Test System to our production line will improve production efficiencies and ensure that we deliver superior quality products to our customers, faster,” enthused Mr Eddie Smith, Trysome Group CEO.

“Our business has developed and grown around the needs of our customers. We make a point of consulting key stakeholders on planned changes and improvements to our plant to ensure that we deliver what industry needs and wants.”
Guests had a chance to see the MK Test System in action with a live demonstration hosted by Bongani Nkosi and Samuel Gumede.

About HarnessPro
HarnessPro manufactures electrical harnesses, a collection of cables and wires that transmit a series of signals or electrical power, typically between sets of connectors or termination points. These harnesses can range from single strands of cable with a connector at both ends to extremely complex multi-strands with numerous lengths and connectors. Normally these wires and cables are bound into looms (or bundles) for ease of installation, protection and mounting.
Electrical harnesses are extensively used in all forms of vehicles from your basic sedan right up to your large mining haul trucks as well as in many household appliances.
