One dead in N2 multiple car accident

ONE person was killed and others injured when five cars collided on the N2 at Penikuik at about 4pm yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.

Driving conditions were treacherous after the day’s rain and the region saw numerous car accidents, including one near John Ross College and a four car pile-up on Bullion Boulevard in Richards Bay.

The N2 accident caused traffic jams in both directions as authorities closed the road while the fire department freed the entrapped patients from the wreckage.
