AHEAD of the festive season, MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Mxolisi Kaunda, last week conducted a train crime blitz in KwaDukuza.

During a train ride from Shakaskraal to KwaDukuza, the MEC distributed crime awareness pamphlets to commuters and spoke to them about staying safe on the trains.

He also assessed the functionality of trains on the north coast corridor after they were suspended some months ago owing to cable theft and ageing infrastructure.
