Armed robbers hit Ulundi company

'Security guards doing access control and clients were held hostage. Some clients were also robbed of their cellphones and cash.'

ULUNDI SAPS is investigating a case of business robbery after a group of four suspects robbed an investment company of a large amount of cash last Thursday.

According to reports the suspects stormed into the offices and demanded cash at a gunpoint.

Zululand Police Cluster spokesperson, Captain Nkosie Gwala, said when the suspects stormed in, cash was openly lying on the table.

‘Security guards doing access control and clients were held hostage. Some clients were also robbed of their cellphones and cash.’

She said the suspects used a white Spark car with a Durban registration number.

‘We discovered that the CCTV cameras had been switched off and no footage was captured.

‘No clues were found on the scene and the suspects are unknown at this time,’ said Gwala.
