A ROADBLOCK manned by members of Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife staff, the police and uMlalazi Municipality’s Protection Services personnel, was set up outside Mtunzini last Tuesday morning to search vehicles.
According to Conservation Manager: uThungulu and uMkhanyakhude District and Protected Areas, Roy Jones, such roadblocks produce positive results as at previous exercises persons have been found in possession of illegal fauna and flora. The roadblock was eventually called off at around 2pm with no arrests or confiscations being executed.
