LEARNERS writing their national senior certificate examinations have expressed optimism of doing well.
The ZO caught up with some matriculants of Dover Combined Farm School, who were upbeat about their chances of excelling in the exams.
Mbali Nkwanyana, who has already written toursim, IsiZulu and English papers, described them as easy.
‘Tourism did give me a tough time, but I’m looking forward to the other papers,’ she said.
Thobani Ntshangase, who has written IsiZulu, mathematics and English said the papers have not been easy, but challenging.
‘Mathematics has been the most challenging. I had to be at my very best,’ he said.
Asande Xulu said the mathematics, IsiZulu and English papers have been what he expected.
‘I don’t see myself getting anything less than 70% in all the papers I have written so far,’ he said.
Mxolisi Dube said the exam has been good so far.
Anele Luthuli, who has written IsiZulu, English, life orientation and mathematics said even though the papers had been challenging, she is confident all went well.
Since the commencement of the matric exam, no major incidents have been reported, and according to education officials the exam has been running smoothly so far.
