I’D like to request the traffic authorities to give attention to the traffic lights at the 5Five Ways Mall intersection on the Main Road.
There is usually heavy traffic – especially during peak hours – of motorists who want to turn right towards the mall from the inbound lane.
The time allowed for the right-hand lane traffic to do so is unfortunately inadequate, resulting in the build-up of long queues. It will be appreciated if they extend the time to ensure better traffic flow.
Another issue is that street lights in Nyala Park’s Sabel Street – and I suppose this would also be the case in other streets – are not replaced, leaving the areas in darkness.
On the other hand those lights that are functional are never switched off, resulting in electricity wastage no doubt. Attention to this matter would also be appreciated.
