Three vehicles torched at Ulundi police garage
‘When the two guards noticed smoke they immediately went to investigate and discovered that three vehicles were on fire'
ULUNDI SAPS are investigating a case of malicious damage to property after three vehicles mysteriously caught on fire on Friday morning.
It is alleged that two security guards working at Ulundi police garage, where damaged cars are kept, noticed black thick smoke emanating from the premises at about 2am.
‘When the two guards noticed smoke they immediately went to investigate and discovered that three vehicles were on fire.
‘They immediately called fire fighters to put out the blaze and managed to stop the fire from spreading to the entire premises,’ said Gwala.
Gwala said they believe these vehicles were torched, even though no suspect was spotted at the scene and the motive is not known.
