WhatsApp launches group video and voice calls
Group calls are encrypted end-to-end and are designed to work on low-bandwidth networks

POSSIBLY the worst part about planning an event or party is having to call your friends individually, only to be sidelined by that one friend who says they will call you back in five minutes, but never does.
And while a broadcast message would suffice, let’s be honest – nothing beats planning something with actual conversation rather than text.
Luckily for you, WhatsApp has started rolling out it’s group calling service.

The service itself is subject to both video and voice calling and is available on the iPhone and Android versions of WhatsApp.
To use it, you must first start a call with someone, then click the ‘add participants’ button shown in the top right corner of the chat window. However, you must have the latest version of WhatsApp installed on your phone.
To do this, go to the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android) and update your WhatsApp.
Currently, up to four people may participate in a group call, and with 450 million unique users per day, who make over 2 billion minutes of calls daily, you could see why the WhatsApp team chose to include this awesome feature.
