A 28-YEAR-OLD mother from KwaMsane near Mtubatuba will today appear in court on charges of child negligence after giving her one-year-old son alcohol and abandoning him.
According to police reports, the child’s father was contacted by a concerned neighbour, who said the child was drunk.
On arrival at the house, the father reportedly found the child sleeping and smelling of alcohol.
He opened a case against the child’s mother at KwaMsane Police Station before taking the child home with him.
