Mtubatuba prayer vigil to focus on albinism

A PRAYER vigil will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) in Mtubatuba, focusing on the scourge of attacks on people with albanism.

The service will start at 9am and will be held at the Nkombose community hall in Mtubatuba.

An initiative of the KZN Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), the prayer will be led by MEC Sihle Zikalala.

Attacks and murders on people with albinism has been on the rise in northern KZN, particularly in the uMkhanyakude District, in recent years.

Hundreds of congregants from various faith-based organisations, traditional leaders and the general public will form part of programme.
