Free media winter school programme

The Creative Arts College in Richards Bay has arranged a free workshop at which Grade 11 and 12 learners

And this study path is an exciting prospect for learners who are considering their future career paths.

This sector can exist as a stand alone industry in the form of the entertainment industry, as well as the pivotal point of marketing and promotion of goods and services.

There are many fields within this sector that have been identified by The Sector of Education and Training Authority for Media and Communications as emerging skills, including:

• app development
• interactive media
• digital marketing
• animation
• script writing
• film making
• music production
• broadcast engineering
• fashion design
• performing arts.

Invaluable insight

The Creative Arts College in Richards Bay has arranged a free workshop at which Grade 11 and 12 learners can gain insight into these sectors.

They will have the opportunity to learn and understand the workings and operations in these fields and will apply themselves in practical scenarios, interacting with actual industry players who will share their first-hand experiences.

This is an invaluable opportunity that supports the learner in the big decision of an ideal career path.

The workshop is presented as a winter school, which runs on 3 and 4 July from 9am to 3pm.
