Motorists on the N2 travelling north just after the eSikhaleni turnoff on Monday morning had to use evasive tactics when this heavily overloaded bakkie came to a standstill when it broke an axle.
After repairing the damage on the side of the road, the driver continued on his way under the ‘watchful’ eye of members of the traffic department.
The warning triangle was all that separated this motorist from further disaster as it alerted other road users to his very overloaded vehicle, which had broken an axle while travelling on the N2, just north of the eSikhaleni turnoff early on Monday morning.
