Calling local musicians and artists
If you are a local up and coming artist or producer you better get entering

LOCAL artists and producers are being called on to submit their work in order to be chosen for a Music Workshop.
The workshop hosted by Bando Unlocked Events, will be held in Empangeni next month and aims at providing artists with inner workings of the music industry.
The workshop itself will cover areas such as artist rights and the protection of artist music, how to effectively distribute your music and understand what the top revenue streams are in the music business.
Organiser of the event, Mndeni Mhlungu, said only 30 artists will be permitted to attend the workshop, which is free of charge.

‘This will ensure that all attendees can be adequately attended to.
‘Artists and producers should email their profile and motivation for attending the workshop, as well as links to their songs and various social media handles to bandounlocked@gmail.com.
‘The top 30 most promising entries will then be invited to attend the workshop,’ said Mhlungu.
Well-established musicians from KZN will be present at the workshop to give insight into what it takes to become a successful artist.
Representatives from the South African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO) will also be present to provide artists with information about artist rights.
