Financial toll puts gloom over selection
This recent achievement has boosted the young player’s confidence and has given him drive and purpose to have a standout season for his school side this year
ENERGETIC and enthusiastic Empangeni High School rugby star Tristan Buss has been selected for the Vision Sport U19 team that will tour Ireland during the December holidays.
This recent achievement has boosted the young player’s confidence and has given him drive and purpose to have a standout season for his school side this year.
Unfortunately, the heavy financial price tag of R29 860 is hanging over his head and has put a damper on his selection.
Tristan and his dad Gavin are calling on the local community and businesses for any financial support, with the hope of sending him on the tour from 27 November to 6 December.
The team will play three matches on tour against top club sides and take numerous excursions to well known places such as Aviva Stadium, King’s Castle and Gaelic Game experience.
Anyone who is able to assist by means of a donation towards Tristan’s tour can contact Gavin on 076 2411739 for more information and banking details.
