A MAN charged with defrauding a local doctor of R100 000 in a shady financial scheme, was arrested in Hillcrest last week by Richards Bay detectives.
Avinesh Rajbansi (27) is believed to have lured the victim into investing the large cash sum into a false investment scheme know as The Perez Membership Club Investment House in November 2015, with the promise of a huge return within a few months.

This did not materialise.
Rajbansi appeared in the Durban Commercial Court on Monday where he was granted R10 000 bail and ordered to report to the Hillcrest Police weekly.
Targeting people know to him, he provided falsified financial documents and lured his victims into the scheme which did not exist.
