LOCALS were thrilled with the clothing design abilities of St Catherine’s School learners, who displayed their creations made from recycled materials on the runway at the annual St Catherine’s School Funky Fashion Show held on Thursday.

Pupils were given the following themes:

• Grade 8: The 1950s – a time of rock ‘n roll, wing and rhythm and the blues. Outfits were made out of paper materials.

Proud of their funky fashions – Grade 12 learners Cheyenne Mathurine and Sheynlee Swart

• Grade 9: 31st century – Outfits from the future. Plastic materials were used.

• Grade 10: 1980s – Funky and neon. Learners could use any recyclable products.
