Community warned against selling RDP houses

RDP housing beneficiaries have been warned not to sell their houses as it is against the law.

This emerged at the Ward 27 Housing Consumer Education meeting held in Ngwelezana last week.

The meeting was hosted by the City of uMhlathuze’s Housing Unit together with the Provincial Department of Human Settlements.

Addressing a strong crowd, Lungi Sishi of the Department of Human Settlements, said it was important for communities to understand the rules and requirements that must be followed by all housing applicants.
