Campers take over Richards Bay

Among the 700 avid campers present were 204 of the 1 409 registered members of the Caravan Club of Southern Africa (CCSA)

AN impressive 206 caravans from 20 regions across the country celebrated their Easter holidays by attending the Rally SA 2018 camp hosted by the KZN Province at the Richards Bay Caravan Park over the weekend.

Among the 700 avid campers present were 204 of the 1 409 registered members of the Caravan Club of Southern Africa (CCSA).

Regions represented were: Pretoria, Natal, Easterns, Vaal Triangle, Northern Cape, Alfred County, Suid Vrystaat, Oos Vrystaat, North Rand, Midlands, North Coast, Jacaranda, Highveld, Good Hope, Highway, NOTS, Sunshine, Nomads, South Rands and Suid Hoëveld.

All dressed to impress at the flag-raising ceremony on Saturday morning were Provincial Counsellor KZN Stephan Spieker, North Coast Region Chairman Lourens Lemmer and President of CCSA Russell Gibbens

With 40 caravans, the Easterns region had the biggest turnout.

Campers were thoroughly entertained over the weekend with flea markets, food stalls, volleyball, games for children, performances from local musicians, table decor competition, magic show and flag-raising ceremony.
