Royal send-off for health train

The Zululand leg of the train's travels started in Mtubatuba on 19 February and called on Empangeni before arriving in Ulundi

THE Phelophepa Health Train completed its Zululand visit on Monday in Ulundi and was honoured with a visit from King Goodwill Zwelethini.

The Zululand leg of the train’s travels started in Mtubatuba on 19 February and called on Empangeni before arriving in Ulundi.

The train will now travel to Ermelo in Mpumalanga.

King Zwelethini was given a briefing about the train’s activities before highlighting various health issues pertenant to Zululanders.

The train has over 40 permanent staff and numerous volunteers and has reached 23.5 million people since it rolled out in 1994, making it the world’s biggest mobile clinic.
