WATCH: Students injured in Unizulu protest
Stones are flying as Unizulu students demand monthly allowances in a violent protest
Several students suffered injuries from flying stones as angry students embarked on a violence protest at the University of Zululand in KwaDlangezwa.
At about 9.45am this morning, students carrying sticks, bottles and other materials forced entry into lecture halls and stopped lectures..
The protest is is connection with unpaid monthly allowances which were apparently promised to them.

Just after 10am students also blockaded the entrance gates, with no vehicles allowed to enter or leave the institution.
The media was also threatened and told to leave the campus.
At that stage the police have not yet arrived to restore order.
