High school learners in serious accident

FOUR girls from Old Mill High School were injured – two seriously – in an accident on ZSM Drive near Bell Equipment in Empangeni yesterday afternoon.

uMhlathuze traffic police, fire and rescue crew and police rushed to the scene after the driver of a bakkie transporting the learners lost control and crashed into a tree stump.

Two of the learners are in a critical condition, while another two sustained moderate injuries.

The bakkie driver also sustained critical injuries.
