Police minister to visit Manguzi
Mbalula is expected to provide a comprehensive strategy to deal with the ongoing concerns of cross-border crime in the area
FOLLOWING his previous postponed visit to Emanguzi, Minister of Police Fikile Mbalula has confirmed that he will visit the area tomorrow (Friday).
Mbalula is expected to provide a comprehensive strategy to deal with the ongoing concerns of cross-border crime in the area.
Earlier this month protesters shut down Emanguzi and Mbazwana, closing schools, shops and even blockading the Kosi Bay border after growing tired of cross-border crime.

POP officers were called in to restore calm to the area.
Mbalula earlier this month met with community members who are calling on government to attend to the hijacking and smuggling of cars across the Mozambican border.
The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) was also requested to deal with SAPS jurisdiction issues.
Police are not authorised to pursue criminals into Mozambique.
