Film festival in Zuluwood

The first Uzulu Film Festival provided first-hand information of film making to Zululand

LOCAL aspiring filmmakers, creative artists and learners received detailed information about the filming industry at the uZulu film festival at the Hlanganani Community Hall last week.

The purpose of the seven-day event, spearheaded by the Khula Arts Centre, KZN Film Commission and the National Film and Video Foundation, was to promote storytelling through film among KZN north coast societies, especially the youth and underprivileged.

Two high school learners were also given the opportunity to make their own short film and showcased it for the audience.
