Opportunity for unemployed graduates
The objective is to find lasting solutions to the high rate of unemployment among graduates

THE uThungulu Community Foundation (UCF) is reaching out to unemployed tertiary certificate and degree holders, inviting them to an upcoming information sharing session on employment opportunities in all sectors of society.
The invitation is open to all unemployed graduates within the uMhlathuze municipal area.
‘The primary purpose of this exercise is to create partnerships between the UCF and private and public sector organisations,’ said UCF CEO, Simphiwe Mbatha.
‘Such partnerships will be aimed at providing local unemployed graduates with strategies for job hunting and skills required for work or skills they may need to be self-employed.
‘It is hoped that such partnerships will lead to meaningful, and properly monitored and controlled internship programmes.’
UCF has partnered with two research facilitators who will collect data from the unemployed graduates and analysing this data for action.
Once complete, the foundation will share the research report with local public and private sector organisations.
‘This will be done to indicate to local residents and organisations that we all have a moral duty to help find lasting solutions to the high rate of unemployed graduates in our municipality,’ said Mbatha.
The workshop will be held at 9am on 8 February at the ZCBF grounds.
